A couple reached out to me wanting to take some photos – while couples photography was originally something I haven’t fully explored – this was a great opportunity to see how the documentary approach would resolve. The results were stunning.

This couple have a vintage Porsche 924, a gorgeous Guards red coupe. They wanted to shoot in downtown Havana, FL – a place they both spend alot of time in and live near. A historical space with beautiful buildings made for a great backdrop. What wasn’t great was the weather. Overcast, misty and grey – but we decided lets make the best of it. 

The vibes were great, these two are so in love and you can see it in these images. I just let them be, interact as normal. No posing, no staging – some directing on where to put the car but that’s it. The results are these stunning genuine moments between these two.

The rain was a little bit of a problem, but we made it work. I think the raindrops add character, and resulted in moody, sultry images.

There was a mix of focus on the car, the couple and the car, and then the couple themselves. Not everything had to be with the car, so we walked around and explored downtown Havana.
